About My Work Life

Not working at the present, but I do volunteer with Guardians of the Children.  ( www.guardiansofthechildren.com )We go inside the courtrooms with the kids to help them feel empowered while testifying.

About My Personal Life

My, how the years have gone by. Still have not finished my degree, only about 12 hours left, but I have my substitute teaching license...OH GOD REMEMBERS!! Remember the sub we had in science? How we made her cry??? Anyway, I am returning this fall, attending WSU. I have decided to pick up another major in social work, so I will go another full year before I graduate. My first child Marriah, as many know, was born in 1990, so she is 16, and becoming a beautiful woman. My second was born in 1996, Timothy. He is a kid full of energy. When I married this time, I was fortunate to gain 2 more children. They lost their mama to illness in 2001, but I have been able to step in next to their mama's memory. My husband has been at the same job for 12 years and has slowly moved up the ranks. I was fortunate to find such a kind and caring man. I not only gained Corey, Kyle (14), and Kelsie(11), I gained the kid's grandparents too. I have a huge family now. We live in a small town, (smaller than Lynd), named Pretty Prairie. The town is known for the rodeo. "Once a year the town comes alive for 4 nights." We are the home of Kansas' Largest Night Rodeo. My husband and I are avid "bikers", we belong to a group called BACA- Bikers Aginst Child Abuse, if you are a biker, check it out.... www.bacausa.com , I am the web mistress for the Kansas Chapters.
