Lauderdale and Miami; husband died in 2003; have 4 grown children and 2 grandchildren; received my bachelor's degree in Health Services Administration from F.I.U. (Florida International University); enjoy Florida, especially its climate, diversity and its multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-lingual aspects. When time permits, I enjoy traveling, golfing and observing and respecting the local flora and fauna, especially the wildlife.
Aug 22, 2004: About My Work Life; Currently employed full-time as a health service administrator for a medical practice as well as part time as a wildlife rehabilitator/veterinary assistant for the largest wildlife rehabilitation hospital in South Florida. Have assisted in a number of innovative surgeries on wildlife including the application of a prosthetic donor beak on a Brown Pelican whose own beak had been amputated with a machete by an irate fisherman.
