I graduated from Appalachian State University in
August of 1998 with a degree in Communications,
where I worked at the campus radio station, the
sports information office and the Appalachian
Sports Network. I worked at the Piedmont
Superstations in Cherryville doing some on air
work and board operating before taking a job in
the sports information office at Gardner-
Webb.After leaving Gardner-Webb in June, I got a
job in Reidsville, NC as a sports writer at the
local newspaper. I covered all of Rockingham
County High School's athletics, working closely
with the football team as their stats man. In
January, the sports editor at the newspaper took
another job, leaving me as the interim editor for
a daily newspaper, as well as a bi-weekly
newspaper.
On May 11, 2001, I was named the Sports
Information Director at High Point University on an interim basis. At the beginning of 2002, I began as an editorial assistant at National Speed Sport News, the oldest weekely racing newspaper in the country. I have been there ever since.
I will be getting married in Oct. 2005.
