Apr 12, 2007: About My Personal Life; Shortly after Highschool I joined the Marines and became an infantryman. Later, I attended UC Riverside and earned a Communications degree. I studied as an exchange student at the University of Bayreuth, in Germany, and was very fortunate to find additional opportunities to travel abroad. During college I met my wife, Janel, and we were married in 2000. After college, I joined the Marines again as an officer, and became a helicopter pilot. From 2003 to 2006, I was stationed on the beautiful tropical island of Okinawa, Japan. While stationed on Okinawa, I spent much of my time deployed to places like Korea, the Philipines, Guam, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, Kuwait, and Iraq to name a few. On April 1st 2005 I returned to Okinawa from a tour in Iraq, and met my three-month-old son, Christian, for the first time. He is already over two years old, and growing fast. In June 2006 we moved to Quantico, Virginia, where I've been attending a Warfighting School for a year. In June 2007 we will move to Jacksonville, NC, where I will join another squadron and continue flying. Around June 25th 2007 my wife will give birth to our second child; a girl.
