About My School Life

It's been about 9 years since high school and from what I remember and any one who remembers me, will remember, I spent at least the last year in a cloud of smoke. Besides that I was in the musicals for 10th and 11th grade as a back ground part, and did some comedy roles in a couple of one act plays. I did the ski club from 10th to Senior year which was a lot of fun. I was also on the football team freshman and sophomore years until I realized that a 150 pound kid wasn't good for more than a nice little tackling dummy lol. Mostly what I did in High school was work at after school jobs from freshman year on and hung out with friends. I actually was averaging about 20-30 hours a week working during junior and senior year which was almost as much time as I averaged in school. I liked having a pay check when I was a wet nosed pup, and developing a work ethic when I was that younge has really served me well in my adult life.

About My Work Life

The hours are long, the pay won't make me rich, but the rewards is that I'm doing a job that I love and that I believe is important. Most of what I have to say about my job I ended up putting in my personal section and that's fitting since it's one of those vocations where where what I do is a very big part of who I am.

About My Personal Life

Let's see, I've been in the Navy pretty much since I graduated High School and have really enjoyed it. I've gotten the opportunity to see the world and some strange and exotic places. I lived in Florida for a few years but transferred out to San Diego last year keeping with my desire not to live anywhere where I might have to shovel snow lol. I'm happily married now and have a beautiful little daughter who's taught me that women are born crazy, but she's the apple of her daddy's eye. I'm doing pretty well career wise. I actually teach the stuff I used to do out in the fleet (Sonar Operations) at the school I went to 8 years ago, to a brand new crop of 18 and 19 year olds before they go off to the fleet. I've been making rank pretty quick and hopefully I'll be an E-6 soon (Petty Officer 1st Class in the Navy, Staff Sergeant all the other services). I really love the variety of things I've been able to do in the navy, (hunt submarines, work on torpedo tubes, being in charge of a machine gun crew, teaching Sonar, driving hummers, and lately working as a military policeman with all the cool toys that entails). The greatest thing about the Navy has been the people. First the one's who influenced me as a young Seaman and those crochety old Chiefs and senior Petty Officers who still show me some good tricks. And the second is my ability to influence and lead those people who really are just me a few years ago.
