Me

  I was a fairly NOT popular girl. Ran around with Jeannie Askins and Sherry Kivisto, and Brenda Raney/Nokes (who is deceased).  I dated older guys, was always in trouble for cutting assemblies and playing pool at The Sugar Shack. Went to the Wedgewood amusement park all summer....all day in the pool, and all evening at the dances outside...dated the guy that ran the roller coaster..named Jack Wells. He was a red haired guy with two different colored eyes and was older than I....he was a great western artist...we had an imaginary family of many children. I think of him often. Dated a guy named Dixie. Fell in love with Dennis Shipley...I met Terry Stafford (singer) at Wedgewood one evening...nice guy, he died. Maurice Evans was the owner. Went to the prom with Ralston Harry III.  I smoked and drank and was an all around crazy kinda girl.  Now, here I am a proud mother of two grown children and 2 grandchildren, a 4th grade teacher for 15 yrs, and own my home and new car free and clear...no debt on credit cards. Doing quite well. Will retire in 4 years to the Dallas area in Texas to be around my family. Divorced. Haven't smoked for 40 yrs.  I also dated Bill Duncan, and several guys from Harding highschool. Married David Draper and we used to play cards with the Lovelands. Divorced.  Then married Mel McCall and then moved to California with our 4 children. I have a great life and a profession I really love...and then of course I have my two dogs who are the light of my life. Life is wonderful!!  Three more school days and I will be off for the summer!
