Oct 18, 1999: About My Personal Life; I am married to Liz, who I met here in Kansas. We live in Fort Scott, Kansas with her son, my step-son Kyle, age 13 (2006). I am very active with the community, and coach Kyle's little league team, umpire in other leagues and help with various community committees in town.
Oct 18, 1999: About My Work Life; I spent 6 years in the US Navy, in the Submarine Service, aboard the USS William H. Bates, SSN 680. I was a Sonarman, and was an E-6 Petty Officer First Class, qualified as a Sonar Supervisor, Ships Supply Officer, Quality Assurance and SubSafe Worker. Upon leaving the Navy, I worked for a company called Datatape, in Pasadena, California and then for First American Title Insurance in Santa Ana, California. I left California in 1994, and moved to Kansas to be closer to my parents and family. I opened an electronic repair shop, and also worked for some small companies, before being hired as the Executive Secretary for the Scottish Rite Temple in Fort Scott, Kansas.
