May 04, 2004: About My School Life; All in all, I don't have many fond memories of my high school years. I recall that most people were incredibly unkind to me because I was small and had an unusual name (I was known as Harry then). Too bad my small-minded classmates couldn't see me for what I was, or might become.
May 04, 2004: About My Personal Life; I have two grown children by a previous marriage and two kids with my present wife, Joan. My son, Joshua, is ten years old. My daughter, Merritt, is seven. We live in Germantown, WI.
May 04, 2004: About My Work Life; I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1981 with a degree in Mass Communication and subsequently worked as a television producer and news reporter in Milwaukee and Nashville, Tennessee. In 1991 I was appointed to the UWM Academic Staff, where I worked five years as Community and Governmental Relations Liaison. I also worked briefly as an aide to a prominent lawmaker in the Wisconsin Senate. In 2003 I was accepted into the Master of Arts in Teaching program at Cardinal Stritch University, where I became a nationally ranked scholar. I am now embarking on an exciting second career as an elementary and middle school teacher.
