About My School Life

Well.......I have to say there were only a few happenings, a few teachers, and a handfull of people that really mattered to me. And, if I could have skipped highschool and gone straight to college.....I would have. College....It was the best "school years" I have had. All of the different cultures and people of all different styles and interests...it was amazing. ESPECIALLY THE FOOTBALL TEAM!!!! One thing I would have done differently...I would have stayed 2 more years in order to get 3 more degrees. But only if I were single at that time and not had any major plans. So...get'er done!...got'er did... let's move on!!!!!

About My Personal Life

My life has been a wonderful experience since I left Metamora. I went to I.C.C. and recieved my Associates in Art and worked in the child care field before going to SIU in Carbondale. There, I earned my Bachelors degree in Social Work with a continuing minor in Art and Education. I worked for the Peoria YMCA for some time, then got married to the most wonderful person I have ever known, Chad Stewart. I then accepted a position with Catholic Charities at the Guardian Angel Home. It has been very rewarding and also difficult at times, as one does get semi-attached to the boys that reside there. However, it is getting close for me to be moving on to other things as I am persuing another degree and National Certification in Massage Therapy. There are many other aspects that will tie into that field, but those will come at a later date. All this wrapped in a nice silk ribbon has been my life on personal and professional levels.
