About My School Life

I loved high school, including the academic challenges, the corny teachers (Mr. Devore was a hoot), and of course the social aspects. Many tender, young friendships were nurtured during that time. They blossomed into life time relationships. Band was great, altough I hated those wool marching band uniforms. The school plays will always hold a special place in my heart. I was a little too shy to be on stage, but I did enjoy being on stage crew and painting/making scenery. And of course the cast parties were a blast! Ah, to be young again!

About My Personal Life

I hold fast to dreams. They give my life purpose. I cherish special relationships. They are rare jewels that enrich my days. I am motivated to learn different things. New experiences make life exciting. I share myself with others. It brings a sense of fulfillment. I keep short accounts. Bitterness destroys character. I trust God to bring into my life the things that help me grow: struggles will strengthen me, mistakes will humble me, pain will teach me compassion, trials will produce patience, and blessings will lighten the load along the way.

About My Work Life

I stayed at home to raise my son which I will never regret. I did finish college to become a Math teacher, a life time dream. I have been involved in youth ministry for over twenty years, encouraging struggling teenages. I have gone to Mexico to build houses for poverty stricken families. These families were some of the most hospitable people I have ever met. I have been to the Czech Republic to teach conversational English. The Czechs are fasinating! The emergence from communism has brought them many opportunties. They are very intellectual, love their families, have a growing sense of humor, and a renewed interest in God. I have been married to the same man for 27 years. He has always loved me unconditionally and supported my personal growth. He has been my safe harbor in life's storms. I love you Den! :-)
