Strengthens Reunion.com's Leadership in Keeping People in Touch Online; Adds Valuable New Offering to 34 Million Members

Los Angeles – November 9, 2004 – Reunion.com, the leader in keeping people in touch online, today announced that it has acquired privately-held GoodContacts Research Ltd., the innovator and patent holder for automatically updating contact information within a contact database. Based in Ottawa, Canada, GoodContacts' popular software and service is already used by people in more than 100 countries worldwide to automatically update their address book and related contact information electronically.

“Reunion.com is dedicated to helping our 34 million members reconnect and stay in touch with their important relationships,” said Jeff Tinsley, chairman and CEO of Reunion.com. “This strategic acquisition extends and enhances our current services by providing a powerful combination of desktop software and online tools to our growing membership base.”

In today's rapidly changing world, staying in touch is a challenge. Analysts estimate that contact information naturally decays at a rate of up to 30 percent per year due to a combination of major life events, such as getting married, moving, or changing jobs, and more modest events like getting new cell phones or switching email addresses. Combined with the online services provided by Reunion.com, GoodContacts helps solve the difficult problem of helping people stay in touch by providing software that automatically updates the user's contact database or electronic address book as these life-changing events occur.

GoodContacts users can send “Keep-in-Touch” verification emails, asking individuals or groups of individuals to review and update their own unique information and provide new details. When contacts receive the email, they can confirm the information or update it and return it to the sender. The system then detects, authenticates and processes the responses as they arrive, automatically updating the user's contact lists. If both sender and recipient are GoodContacts users, a connection link is established and user-approved information can be automatically updated without user intervention.

“GoodContacts contact software helps individuals, groups and enterprises keep information on important relationships current, while Reunion.com helps users stay in touch with those same relationships online,” said Thomas Birch, CEO of GoodContacts. “Through this powerful combination, customers will benefit from using one source for maintaining their entire social network online as their lives change.”
