About My Personal Life

After graduation I came out of the closet and moved to Austin where I attended UT, living in the dorms for 2 yrs and a student run co-op for 4 yrs. I graduated in 1991 with a degree in Kinesiology. My studies focused on Aquatic Sports and Conditioning, and I minored in French. After graduating college I floundered and wound up in computer industry. I've recently abandoned a horrendous career as a tech support drone after watching Fight Club several times and have begun working part time as a union stagehand in IATSE Local 205. [ you always knew I belonged in theatre, right? ;-) ] I've also studied NLP, Reiki, Tukong Martial Arts, did the Landmark Forum, and last year I graduated from massage therapy school. I do community work with an organization called Tejas Web, (http://www.tejasweb.org) which builds community through feminist spirituality and self empowerment with personal symbolism, myth, and ritual. I run the web page, moderate the discussion list, co-plan events and promote community service such as food drives within the group. I also volunteer at the Vortex Theatre sometimes. I ran the light board for a performance by Rob Nash (http://www.robnash.com) back in December 2000. I spend a lot of time at Mojo's Daily Grind, a local coffeeshop, hanging out with friends.
