Catching Up with Friends

I had to think real hard about paying the membership fee until I saw someone I knew who was looking for me, so I did.I'm Glad I did because I've been re-connected with 2 Good Friends from school.  I only have thought of my life as "Before USAF"  and "After USAF" , and before USAF starting when I was young , then working on the farms, not so much High School. But I see that was a mistake, and I won't do that anymore, because it was a "Great Time" and you learned alot about yourself , I did, more about how not to be a "Jerk" to the Girls, Open doors stuff like that. Hey you think that would be "Already in there" but it's something that has to be learned having 2 sisters. But I learned (My arm still hurts from getting hit) I learned real fast but it only happened once or twice. Then That took care of that, Open doors, wait until their seated etc... I see these Young Guys today not doing that to their Girlfriends and I want to go up to them and "Slap them up  against their Head" and say "Hey, You got any manners????" "Open the door for Her then she goes in first then You, then wait until she sits down then you, you get her what she wants, You get up when she does" or she'll leave you for someone else." I was lucky I had those Who gave me a learning curve when I forgot.  Then Running around in your friends Car causing trouble , sneaking up on "Parkers" and then "Hitting the lights and Horn " and tearing out of there> or just Bumming around, I just realized I had alot of Good Friends from back then I guess I better start looking somemore but some will always be "Best Friends and others Special Friends"

Where else I've lived

Since they don't give you the Room or the option, I was Stationed after Scott AFB , I went to Japan to Yokota AB with the 316th OMS/475TH BASE FLT and assigned as the DCC to the 1867th AFCC  T-39 Aircraft. Not to bad after only being in alittle over 2 years. I went TDY to Korea for 45 days to "Team Spirt 84" , made alot of "Shopping runs out of Yokota to Korea and to the PI on trips taking DV's and staying over nite "Shopping" , Drinking all that stuff a Stupid 20 year old would do.Spent a couple of 30 day TDY's at Kadena AB Okinawa doing Major Phase inspections on my Jet but still had time to Shop, sit on the Beach and Drink alot. You do stupid things when your lonely. But never got into any trouble met alot of Great folks, and left Japan in March 85 after the Freedom Bird broke down in Korea 24 hours Late (EVERYONES WORST NIGHTMARE THE FREEDOM BIRD BREAKS DOWN) but still made it home .It was TOUGH coming home things changed too much, I only stayed home 2 weeks out of the 3 weeks I was there. I took off after the first week and just "Went for a Cross Country Drive" seeing friends. Came back picked up my New Truck, and said one morning "Well Its time to leave Ed"  Packed up and left the next day.Not Home anymore. I found out I guess at 21 that I finally Grew-up and didn't have to answer to anybody but myself.I played along with my "Mother"  making her think she was in charge but that was their house. But When I left she said "You need to stay another week to do this and" I stopped her and said " I made my mine up, I'm leaving in the morning for Home" she replied "This is your home " I said"No it is not, only my home of Record Mom." That was that.  That's a Hell'va thing to realize after leaving home 6 days after your 18th Birthday. and being out of school only 45 days.
