" I Steph, met Mrs. Ruby hinds in late "08" she was strong succesful women. I admire her resillience through trial and tribulations. Mrs Hinds was a god fearing women who would always say " God is good all the while". She was witty with a sharp personality. A native of the West Indies she migrated from Kingston Jamaica to find a better life for her children and grands. Mrs. Ruby hinds Walters followed in her mothers foot steps and settled in Farrockaway Queens. Mrs. Hinds effectionately known as grannie worked relentlessly, to aquire a piece of the American dream. She went above and beyond for family never stopped. I will always remember seeing grannie all over rockaway no matter the season. Favorite words were "sure" Mrs. Hinds left her foot prints in the sand... she will be forever missed... "
